PHYTOPOD™-1 AQUA Vertical Planter Module

The Phytopod Aqua is an exciting new product that brings plug-and-play simplicity to aquaponics-- for the home, school, office or urban homesteading. Modular Phytopod Aqua units are designed to be attached to an aquarium to easily create an aquaponic system in a minimum of space!

Growing plants in the module provides filtration, aeration, and removal of nitrogen from aquarium water while the nitrogen produced in the aquarium supports the growth of the plants in a vertical system. The Phytopod design allows for dramatic reduction in space, as well as much greater flexibility in how the plant and fish production are combined in an aquaponic system.

The module can be located remotely from the fish tank under indoor lighting, in a windowsill, or outside (please note: a more powerful pump may be needed in this case). Phytopod-1 modules offer 3 square feet of planting area and are stackable for easy vertical expansion. Grow a bounty of herbs, salad greens and many other vegetables, fruits and flowers indoors or outdoors using your fish to fertilize them! You can order additional modules which can be stacked on top of the base unit for additional planting area.
